New-home sales decreased by 1.6% to a seasonally adjusted annual rate of 313,000 from January, according to new data released on Friday. January sales were also revised downward. This is a dismal report given that we are now four years after the housing bubble burst. When will lawmakers realize that government needs to get out of the housing sector in order for it to bottom out and fully recover?
