The average American has, since January 1, seen their taxes rise, their health care costs rise, gasoline prices rise and their net income decrease. All of this against the reality that the dollars they do manage to keep hold of do not buy as much at Target or Wal-Mart as they used to — never mind the Washington blather about there being no inflation.
Naturally, the leading lights in the GOP are focused on how to import millions more low skilled workers that will depress wages even further for downscale Americans. The incandescent brilliance of the Republican Party is a luminous wonder, isn’t it?
Congressional Republicans remind me of the old joke where a bumbling player is pulled aside by his coach and asked, “Son, are you stupid or just apathetic?”
The player responds, “Coach, I don’t know and I don’t care.”
No time to get weary, conservatives. We are going to have to save these people from themselves, again.
