Shortly after Obama was first inaugurated in January 2009, Rush Limbaugh famously expressed his hope that Obama would fail as president. Establishment figures on both sides of the aisle were shocked and appalled how Limbaugh would wish failure on a new president of the United States. In reality, he was prescient in his aspirations. Rush knew that what is good for Obama; what is a success for his presidency, is a failure for America. Liberals succeed when more people are poor and dependent upon government. That is how they keep them dependent upon their position in power.
Big Government has a great article looking back at the growth of food stamps over the past four years:
One way to mark the legacy of a presidency is to tally statistics, and at least one stat is not very flattering for President Obama: the number of Americans on food stamps has grown by 11,133 people every day during his first term.
In 2009, when Obama took office, recipients of SNAP (Supplemental Assistance Nutrition Program) stood at 31,939,110 Americans; by the end of his first term, the latest tally numbered 47,525,329.
That is an expansion of 11,133 people per day between January of 2009 and October of 2012.
It is clear that Obama succeeded and the country failed.
