Support for Israel is Not Bipartisan

It’s widely believed that support for Israel cuts across both sides of the ideological divide in this country.  After all, who in their right mind would think that Israel should genuflect before the Hamas terrorists while they are shooting rockets at Israeli civilians?

However, we must remember that while liberals in this country are more sane than those in Europe, who completely agree with Hamas, they still need a tune up in their moral compass.  According to the latest CNN opinion poll, while 74% of Republicans feel that Israel’s military action in Gaza is justified, only 41% of Democrats concur.  I’m wondering what the rest of the Democrats would think if rockets were reigning down on our cities?
