Voters in Two California Cities Approve Pension Cuts

Amidst the rancor over the Wisconsin recall, you might have missed this piece of spectacular news from California that is actually somewhat related to Scott Walker’s reforms.  In San Diego and San Jose, voters approved ballot initiatives that cut retirement benefits for city workers.  The margin was 70-30% in San Jose and 66-34% in San Diego!
