Gallup: Plurality of Americans Self-Described Social Conservatives

Republicans just don’t want to take yes for an answer when it comes to social conservatism.  Last week, we pointed out that traditional marriage has prevailed in 32 states and that pro-life sentiment is at an all-time high.  Now Gallup is out with a poll showing that more people consider themselves social conservatives than social liberals.  While it is no surprise that self-identified fiscal conservatives continue to outnumber fiscal liberals by over 2:1 margin, some might be shocked to know that social conservatives outnumber social liberals 38-28%.
