39 Brave Republicans Support Free Markets and Oppose Tariffs

Earlier today, we reported on the lack of fortitude on the part of Republicans in defending the free-market against government intervention on behalf of specific industries at the expense of consumers.  Yesterday, not a single Republican objected to a unanimous consent bill in the Senate to approve countervailing tariffs on some imports.  Well, today, that bill (HR 4105) passed the House by a whopping 370-39 margin.  We thank the 39 Republicans for casting a tough vote – one that truly affirms their commitment to conservative principles.
