Iowa State Representative Peter Cownie writes in the Des Moine Register today that property taxes have risen by 68% in Iowa since 2001. 68%?! Where, I wonder, is the breaking point? And I have to think that Iowa is not the only state that has seen property taxes rise so dramatically over the last decade.
