As Russ Vought so ably points out at RedState.com, House Republican leadership is desperately trying to get out of its pledge to the American people to cut $100B in the first year. We’ve had the annualized argument, the “we really didn’t mean that” argument, the funny math arguments and today Republican leadership is meeting to discuss what to do with the Republican Study Committee’s amendment to fulfill the $100B pledge. It’s going to be interesting to see how this one plays out.
